The Chicago & Western Indiana Railroad used to be a quick line working sixteen miles from downtown Chicago to Dolton, Illinois, the 1st suburb south of Chicago, with one other line operating southeast from Eighty-First highway to the Indiana country line. in-built the Eighties, it used to be owned via 5 trunk line railroads that used it as an effective and cheap course into downtown Chicago.
